Gingko Biloba Helps Memory Loss

A new UCLA study presented at a Society for Neuroscience conference last week found that gingko biloba improves memory among people suffering from age-related memory impairment.

Researchers at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute found significant improvement in verbal recall among a group of people with age-associated memory impairment who took the herb gingko biloba for six months, as compared to a group that received a placebo.

Positron-emission tomography revealed that subjects taking gingko biloba had improved recall which correlated with better brain function in key brain memory centers.
